The zinc oxide arrester tester is specially designed to detect the internal defects of the gapless zinc oxide arrester MOA valve for the power system of 10kV and below. It measures the DC reference voltage (U1mA) of the MOA and the leakage current under 0.75 U1mA.

The specific use method of the zinc oxide arrester tester is as follows:

1. Open the cover of the instrument box and firmly ground the instrument shell.

2. Insert one end of the arrester into the high-voltage bushing (end H) of the instrument, and clamp the other end with a wire clamp. Or use an insulated wire to draw an external test product from the high-voltage end. Note: No-load boost is allowed.

3. Turn on the power switch. After the internal self-check of the instrument, the alarm light is on, the discharge light is on, and the indication value of the two meters is zero ± 1 word.

4. Press the reset button once, the alarm light is off, the instrument enters the detection state, and the test can be performed.

5. Press the detection button for about 1 second and then release it, the instrument will automatically complete all the detection items of MOA.

Precautions during the use of the zinc oxide arrester tester:

(1) If the detection button is pressed and the alarm light is on, it indicates that there is a defect in the internal contact of the MOA, or the external wiring is not strong. After the discharge light is on, check whether there is a problem with the external wiring, or press the reset button after replacing the test product. , Proceed to the next test.

(2) If the alarm light does not light up, it indicates that the internal contact of the MOA is good and there is no problem with the wiring. The instrument will automatically enter the state of measuring U1mA and Id, and display the test result on the meter. After the discharge light is on, the test is over. Remove the test wiring or replace the test product for the next test.
