High voltage test equipment operation

Operators of high-voltage test equipment should have professional knowledge of high-voltage test, be familiar with high-voltage test equipment and test products, and be familiar with test procedures. Only after passing the training and examination can they be engaged in high-voltage test work. New trainees participating in the operation of high-voltage test equipment should participate in the designated high-voltage test work under the supervision of experienced high-voltage test equipment operators, and should not be the person in charge and guardian of the work. Participants from outside the test should be trained on site safety work and technical explanations. The operator of the high-voltage test equipment shall conduct an examination of the test procedures once a year. In addition, operators of high-voltage test equipment should:


Good health, no illnesses that hinder the high-pressure test work;


Learn the emergency first aid method, especially the electric shock emergency method;


Understand the general knowledge of fire fighting and use laboratory fire fighting equipment.


High voltage test equipment laboratory grounding system


The high-voltage test room (field) should have a good grounding system to ensure the accuracy of the high-voltage test measurement and personal safety.

The grounding resistance should meet the requirements of the design specification, generally not more than 0.5Ω. There should be a reliable metallic connection between the grounding point of the test equipment and the grounding point of the equipment under test. All metal structures and fixed metal safety shields (fences) in the laboratory (field) should be firmly connected to the grounded netizens. The grounding point should have obvious visible signs.


In order to ensure that the grounding system is always in good condition, the grounding resistance should be measured every 5 years, and the connection of the grounding lead and the grounding point should be checked.


High voltage test equipment test environment


The high-voltage test room should maintain sufficient light, tight doors and windows, and complete ventilation equipment; there should be channels that meet the requirements and clearly marked in the room. There should be fire-fighting passages around the laboratory and ensure unobstructed access. The control room should be covered with rubber insulation pads.


The high-voltage test room is equipped with corresponding safety equipment, anti-virus, anti-radiation, anti-scald protective equipment, explosion-proof and fire-fighting safety facilities, and emergency lighting power supply.


Other requirements for the operation of high voltage test equipment


The laboratory shall have a safe working system, and the main equipment shall prepare safe operation procedures and establish a complete technical file. The process of each test circle shall be fully and detailed records. After using the test equipment, the state of the equipment should be described, and the maintenance should have a complete record.


Equipment that is flammable and explosive or may produce toxic substances after discharge should be fireproof, explosion-proof, and anti-virus measures. The SF6 gas insulated high-voltage test equipment and test products should be well sealed, and the test site should be equipped with strong ventilation devices and protective facilities as required.
