1. Insulation resistance test

Insulation resistance is the most basic insulation index of electrical equipment and circuits. A DC voltage is applied to the dielectric. After a period of polarization, the resistance corresponding to the leakage current flowing through the dielectric is called insulation resistance. When pressure is applied to the tested material, the current on the tested material will not reach a stable value instantaneously, but has a decay process, a large charging current flows, and then a slowly decreasing absorption current for a long time, and finally reaches Relatively stable conduction current. The higher the measured resistance value, the longer it will take to reach equilibrium. Therefore, in order to correctly read the measured resistance value during measurement, the value should be read after it has stabilized.

2. DC withstand voltage and leakage test

For good insulation, the leakage current is very small under the action of DC voltage. At the same time, under the same DC voltage, the current passing through the insulation decreases with the extension. In the case of good insulation, with the increase of the applied DC voltage , due to the accelerated movement of ions, the leakage current increases, the leakage current has a linear relationship with the increase of the applied voltage, and the increase is very small.

3. Cable DC withstand voltage test

After the test, the voltage is three times the rated voltage of the cable. Under the specified test voltage, record the leakage current and use a high-voltage megger to check the withstand voltage of the DC high-voltage generator.
