Preparation work and use attention of zinc oxide arrester tester before test

1. First, check whether the surface of the zinc oxide arrester tester is dry and clean, and whether the power cord, connecting cable, and grounding wire are in good condition.

2. After connecting the ground terminal of the measurement and control box with the ground terminal of the high-voltage box, the ground wire from the ground terminal of the high-voltage box is connected to the ground network firmly, and the discharge wire is led out. At the same time, ensure that there is a sufficient safety distance between the measurement and control box and the high-voltage box.

3. Connect the measurement and control box and the high-voltage box with a connecting cable.

4. The lower end of the test product (insulation to the ground) is connected to the "test product" end of the high-voltage box, and the upper end is connected to the high-voltage end of the high-voltage box.

5. The high-voltage lead must use a wire with an insulating sheath to reduce the corona current of the high-voltage lead to the ground, and at the same time, pay attention to the ground insulation.

6. After the test, be sure to reset the coarse adjustment knob of the zinc oxide arrester tester to zero and turn off the high voltage. After the green light is on, hang the ground wire on the high voltage end, and finally touch the high voltage end or replace the test product.

Precautions for zinc oxide arrester tester:

1. When taking the reference voltage from the PT or the measuring terminal of the test transformer, carefully check the wiring to avoid short circuit of the PT secondary or test voltage.

2. If the LCD character display becomes lighter due to climate change, etc., you can adjust the contrast adjustment knob appropriately to make the characters clear.

3. If the zinc oxide lightning arrester tester is abnormally damaged, please stop using it immediately and notify the after-sales service. Do not open the box to repair it by yourself.
