Failures encountered by the DC resistance tester

The DC resistance tester is an ideal device for the DC resistance of lateral transformer windings and high-power inductance equipment. In practical applications, some users will say that the DC resistance tester will encounter various failures during use, and how to solve the failures? The following content will tell you.


1. The resistance value cannot be measured with a DC resistance tester



This situation is generally due to two reasons. The first is that the switching power supply is broken and there is no current output. The second is that the set value exceeds the device range and the program cannot recognize the command. If the power supply is damaged, just replace the power supply. If it is due to over-range, then we can restart the instrument to select the resistance or current within the range to measure.


2. The DC resistance tester will burn the insurance when it is turned on


If this happens after turning on, there are generally two reasons. For the 5A~10A direct resistance value, it is usually because the built-in transformer is burned out by the high voltage, which will cause the instrument to fail to operate normally; the current is above 20A. When this happens to the direct resistance meter, it is usually a problem with the switching power supply. When the insurance is burned, we can use the instrument normally by replacing the transformer or switching power supply in time. If you are not familiar with these operations, you can return it to the factory for repair or ask the factory staff to help you disassemble and repair it.


3. Fuzzy screen appears during the test of the DC resistance tester


When the direct resistance meter is in use, it may be caused by the poor contact of the internal row. In this case, we turn off the instrument to check whether the flat cable is loose. Reinforce the flat cable to solve the problem. There is another possibility that electromagnetic interference causes the screen to display abnormally. If this is the reason, we only need to contact the manufacturer to add a filter capacitor. Of course, in addition to the above, the operation is unreasonable when you use it, and the wrong storage method can also cause equipment damage. When using the DC resistance tester, remember not to touch the LED screen with high temperature objects, and check whether the input interface clip is normal before testing.
