Partial discharge is a common fault in high-voltage switchgear. Long-term partial discharge will affect the performance of electrical equipment inside the switchgear and cause power system failures. 1. Unreasonable insulation structure: Unreasonable insulation structure is a frequent problem in the transportation and manufacturing process of high-voltage switchgear. It is mainly manifested as the insulation structure contains impurities, burrs, bubbles, pollution, etc., such unreasonable insulation structure may As a result, the internal electric field distribution of the insulator of the high-voltage switchgear is uneven, and the partial discharge phenomenon is prone to occur in the place with weak insulation. In the initial stage of partial discharge, the insulation structure of the switchgear generally does not have penetrating breakdown, but the partial discharge may still cause local damage to the insulating medium, which may cause a sudden drop in electrical insulation performance and cause a penetrating breakdown of the insulation structure of electrical equipment.


2. Complicated operating conditions: Although the high-voltage switchgear is equipped with a heater, if the switchgear is located in a harsh environment, frequent rainfall, high air humidity, and the switch is exposed to a humid environment for a long time, the internal insulating material performance will be affected for a long time. With gradual aging, conductive materials or corrosion will be formed on the surface of the insulator of the switchgear, which will increase the possibility of pollution flashover and cause insulation accidents.



3. The installation process is unreasonable: When the high-voltage switchgear is installed, the gap left between the outer skirt of the current transformer and the insulating plate will provide favorable conditions for the partial discharge of the high-voltage switchgear: the encapsulation of the heat-shrinkable shield of the cable room Irregularities, improper installation of insulating heat shrinkable sleeves, insulators and the edge of the box will produce floating potential discharge, irregular screw tightening, too many nuts grow out after tightening the screw; the heat shrinkable box is not tightly sealed and easy to open after opening Discharge occurs; the busbars of the transformer box in the antenna box are arranged at one time, the radius of curvature is too small, the chamfer is not standardized, and cannot meet the safety distance, which greatly increases the possibility of corona discharge, etc., these unreasonable installation processes are possible Cause partial discharge in the high-voltage switchgear.
