Matters needing attention in the measurement of insulation resistance tester

Digital insulation resistance tester adopts embedded industrial single-chip real-time operating system, digital analog pointer and digital segment code display combination, this series of meters has a variety of voltage output levels (2500V, 5000V, 10000V), strong anti-interference, analog pointer and digital synchronization Display, AC and DC dual purpose, simple operation, automatic storage of measurement results, etc. It is an ideal test instrument for measuring insulation resistance of transformers, transformers, generators, high-voltage motors, lightning arresters, etc. Pay attention to the following items in the measurement:

① It is forbidden to measure the insulation resistance during lightning or near high-voltage equipment. It can only be measured when the equipment is not energized and there is no induced electricity.

② During the telemetry, no one can work on the device under test.

③ The megohmmeter wires cannot be twisted together, they must be separated.

④ It is strictly forbidden to touch the megger before it stops rotating or before the device under test is discharged. When removing the wire, do not touch the metal part of the lead.

⑤ At the end of the measurement, discharge the equipment with large capacitance.

⑥ The measurement cord from the megohmmeter terminal should be well insulated, and a proper distance should be kept between the two wires and between the wire and the ground, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy.

⑦ In order to prevent the surface leakage resistance of the device under test, when using a megohmmeter, the middle layer of the device under test (such as the inner insulation between the cable shell cores) should be connected to the protective ring.

⑧ Insulation resistance tester should check its accuracy regularly.
