DC leakage test operation process

(1) The test personnel should do a good job division of responsibilities, set the safety distance of the test site, carefully check the grounding of the test product and the test transformer, and have Zhuan personnel to monitor safety and observe the status of the test product.

(2) Before the test product is tested, all external connections should be removed and fully discharged. The main parts should be cleaned and kept dry to avoid damaging the test product and causing errors in the test value.

(3) For large-capacity test products (capacitors, extra-long cables, etc.), the voltage should be slowly increased during the test to prevent the test product’s charging current from being too large and the microammeter should be burned out. If necessary, the voltage should be read separately by applying pressure in stages. Down the stable reading of the microammeter.

(4) During the test, the test product, microammeter, and test device should be closely monitored. Once flicker or breakdown occurs, the voltage should be reduced immediately, the power supply should be cut off, and the cause should be found out.
