How to use the test transformer

1 Connect the working wire according to the wiring diagram. It must be noted that the "high voltage tail" must be reliably grounded when using the test transformer. Before turning on the power, the operating box (set) voltage regulator must be adjusted to the zero position. After the power is turned on, the green indicator light is on, press the start button, the red indicator light is on, indicating that the transformer has been energized and is waiting to be boosted.

2 Rotate the handle of the voltage regulator evenly in a clockwise direction at a speed of 1.5-2KV/S to boost the voltage, and pay close attention to the indication of the instrument and the condition of the tested product. When the leakage current is too large or the tested product breaks down, the overcurrent protection relay The power will be cut off quickly.

3 After the test, the voltage regulator should be adjusted to zero at a constant speed.

4 If it is found that the voltmeter pointer swings greatly during the test, the indicated value of the ammeter increases sharply, or the test product emits smoke, arcs, has a focal position or abnormal noise, immediately reduce the voltage, cut off the power supply, and check the cause.

5 When using YD series products for DC test, the silicon stack short-circuit rod (D) and series tap connection rod (C) in the high-voltage bushing must be unscrewed and drawn out, and wrapped with clean insulating paper. When the AC voltage test is performed after the DC test, the two short-circuit bars must be screwed in.

6 Current-limiting resistors and filter capacitors should be added during the DC test to prevent damage to the silicon stack.

7 Environment: When the temperature is too high, a small amount of oil may overflow on the top of the casing, which is a normal phenomenon. During the DC test, if there is obvious corona on the inner wall of the bushing, it is generally a phenomenon of less oil. At this time, the short-circuit bar should be taken out and refilled with qualified 25# transformer oil from its hole with a syringe.

8 When using the test transformer for series excitation, it must be noted that the output terminals (A) and (X) of the operation box correspond to the output terminals (a) and (x) of the first test transformer, and the output terminals (A, X) of the first test transformer Connect to the input terminals (a), (x) of the test transformer on the second JT1, and its shell should be connected to the input of the primary transformer. The input terminals (a), (x) of the test transformer on the third JT2 Connect with the output terminals (A) and (X) at the top of the test transformer bushing on the second JT1.
