The basic operation of the insulation resistance tester before the test:

1. Before the test, the power supply and all external wires of the tested equipment should be removed, short-circuit the tested device, and discharge to ground for 1 minute. If the capacitance is large, discharge it for at least 2 minutes to avoid electric shock and affect the measurement results.

2. Clean the dirt on the surface of the test object with a clean soft cloth. If necessary, clean the surface of the shell with gasoline to eliminate surface leakage current and affect the test results.

3. The high voltage test strip is inserted into the line terminal of the red wire (3), the green connector insertion end (2) GUARD end and the plug end connected to the other end of the probe or fixture under the high voltage conductor device are tested.
