Safe use of series resonance

We use series resonance to conduct AC withstand voltage tests on cables, and due to the high test voltage, we need to pay great attention to safety.

(1) Pay attention to on-site wiring: Special test lines must be used for testing between the two locations and cannot be mixed with other test lines. The signal acquisition line from the transformer to the control host uses coaxial signal lines; The second is the insulated high-voltage line, which is a special line between the excitation transformer and the bottom of the reactor. The characteristic of this insulated high-voltage line is to ensure that the line does not discharge to the ground, ensuring the safe operation of the entire system.


(2) How to choose a power supply: The power supply must be connected to AC220V or AC380V according to the equipment requirements. Connect 220V to the two AC terminals of the power inlet, and 380V must be three-phase 380V, connected to the A, B, and C phases of the power supply; If 380 V is connected to terminals A and C, it may cause damage to the instrument. Please pay attention to the power supply.


(3) When the reactors are connected in parallel, the test line connected to the end of the reactor is in a suspended state and cannot be dragged to the ground to prevent discharge to the ground.


(4) Safe grounding: All grounding terminals on the instrument must ensure grounding safety, especially the high-voltage tail end on the excitation transformer, which is prone to neglect the grounding terminal.


(5) In non emergency situations, the series resonance test device should not shut down due to voltage reduction caused by cutting off the power supply. This operation can easily cause damage to the instrument and detachable wires after the discharge rod is discharged.


The above are the precautions to be taken when using series resonance. We conduct high-voltage testing because of the safety principle of high-voltage testing, which cannot be carried out without confirming the operation and use of safety equipment.
