When studying the related characteristics of dynamic circuits, we will apply series resonance (also known as variable frequency resonance) to its related applications. Dynamic circuits are circuits with dynamic components, which are usually capacitors, inductors, or mutual inductors. When they are connected in series, series resonance occurs due to some special conditions. What specific special phenomena will occur after series resonance occurs?
Firstly, the first point is that in such a circuit experimental device, the phase of voltage and current will produce a consistent phenomenon. At this time, the circuit is called a pure resistive circuit, which is quite special. It is equivalent to only one resistor acting, and these capacitors and inductors can be equivalent to not existing in the circuit. However, it should be noted that under this specific condition, capacitance and inductance can be equivalent to non-existent. But once the conditions change, the voltage values of capacitors and inductors will also change, and they cannot be considered non-existent.
Then, based on the relevant series resonance, we can see that when this phenomenon occurs, its impedance minimum current reaches its maximum limit. At this point, the voltage values of the capacitor and inductor are equal, but their phases are opposite. At this time, the voltage value of the resistive element located in the circuit is equivalent to the voltage value of the power supply.
When series resonance occurs, the ratio of the inductor voltage to the power supply voltage is called the quality factor. When such a phenomenon occurs, its quality factor will be much greater than the normal value. This phenomenon is usually applied to the amplification of circuits. For the power plants in our daily lives, it is best to avoid this phenomenon as much as possible during the power supply process.
