1： Reduce surge multiples and frequencies

The use of series reactors can greatly reduce the surge multiple and surge frequency of capacitor banks to protect capacitors, and facilitate the selection of supporting equipment for production operations. Moreover, the volume of series reactors is light and compact, and their operational footprint is small, making it easy to install in capacitor cabinets. Therefore, using series reactors for production operations is economical and energy-saving for users.

2： Capable of filtering out characteristic subharmonics

Based on the understanding of the operational performance of commonly used series reactors, a characteristic harmonic AC filter composed of fully tuned reactor reactance and capacitor reactance can effectively filter out a certain characteristic harmonic. They then configure appropriate reactors based on the actual harmonic components to effectively reduce the voltage distortion effect of bus subharmonics, thereby reducing the characteristic harmonic current in the line and improving the quality of power supply.

3： Effectively improve short-circuit impedance

During the operation of the equipment, when the capacitor fails, the power grid system will provide short-circuit current through the system impedance and series reactors. However, the impedance of the powerful series reactor is greater than the system impedance. Therefore, it can effectively reduce the short-circuit capacity of the capacitor when a short-circuit fault occurs, and it can also ensure the possibility of disconnecting the short-circuit current of the distribution equipment, thereby improving the stability performance of the system.
