How to phase distribution transformers on site?
Checking the phase of distribution transformers is a routine task in the power system. The specific operation steps are as follows:
Transformers intended for parallel operation must undergo phase determination testing before formal parallel power transmission. The method of phase determination test is to connect two transformers with parallel conditions, with both primary sides connected to the same power supply, and measure whether the secondary phase is the same on the low-voltage side. The steps for phase determination are:
(1) Measure the voltage of two transformers separately to see if they are the same.
(2) Measure the voltage difference between terminals with the same name. When the voltage difference on each terminal with the same name is almost zero, it can be operated in parallel. The FRD high-voltage core phase generator produced by Wuhan UHV power can complete the above functions and is an indispensable tool for high-voltage electricians.
