Precautions for viscosity testing in sports
The kinematic viscosity tester under the UHV power company can help many power workers conduct various power tests more conveniently.
(1) Insert the capillaries into each of the four holes, taking care to keep them perpendicular. Immerse the motion viscometer with the sample into the prepared constant temperature bath and fix the viscometer on the bracket. When in a fixed position, the expansion part of the capillary viscometer must be immersed in more than half. When measuring the kinematic viscosity of a sample, a suitable viscometer should be selected according to the test temperature, so that the flow time of the sample is not less than 200 seconds, and the flow time of the viscometer and the inner diameter of the kinematic viscosity tester are not less than 350 seconds. Before measuring the viscosity of the sample, the viscometer must be cleaned with mineral spirits or petroleum ether. If the viscometer is dirty, use chromic acid solution, water, distilled water, or 95% ethanol. Then dry in the oven or blow dry with hot air filtered through cotton. When measuring kinematic viscosity, load the sample into a clean, dry capillary viscometer with an inner diameter that meets the requirements. Before loading the sample, place the rubber tube over the branch pipe and block the mouth of the tube with your fingers. Meanwhile, invert the viscometer and insert the tube into the container containing the sample.Then use a rubber ball to suck the liquid into the marked line, being careful not to cause bubbles and cracks in the tube body, expansion part, and the liquid inside.
(2) According to the operation arrangement, determine which set of capillary constants is the set of test racks and the second set of test racks. The other two groups are preheating racks, and the oil to be tested is placed on the preheating racks in advance for better temperature control.
(3) After placing the capillary tube in the bathtub, it must be ensured that the temperature reaches the specified value for 15 minutes before testing can be carried out. It is recommended that users place the capillary tube into the bathtub before setting the temperature. After the water bath temperature reaches the set value, the instrument will automatically prompt you to select capillary tube for the experiment.
(4) The kinematic viscosity tester uses a rubber tube covered by a capillary viscometer tube to suck the sample into the expansion section, so that the sample liquid level is slightly higher than the marking line. Be careful not to cause bubbles or cracks in the capillary and expansion section liquid. At this point, observe the flow of the sample in the test tube. When the liquid level reaches the upper marking line, press the "Start" button to start timing. When the liquid level reaches the marked line, press the "stop" button to stop timing. Display the exercise time for this test. When the liquid level of the sample flows in the expansion section, pay attention to the constant temperature of the stirred liquid in the constant temperature bath, and there should be no bubbles in the expansion section. After displaying the last exercise time, the next oil absorption can be carried out. After the next inspection is completed, in addition to displaying these exercise times, the instrument will automatically calculate and display the average time and subsequent viscosity results. If the network connection function is implemented, the instrument will transmit the results to the laboratory computer and automatically generate a summary table.
(5) You need to suck the oil into the middle of the upper sphere and ensure that the suction tube is a capillary tube with the constant you confirmed on the previous page.
(6) The kinematic viscosity tester is tested according to national standards. If two groups of four movements fail to meet the standard, then that group is unqualified and four samples need to be repeated.
