When the transformer is in use, because the voltage level of the entire power grid sometimes changes, it is necessary to adjust the gear power supply of the transformer. But improper adjustment will be harmful to the transformer, so this article briefly introduces the reasons for adjusting the voltage of the transformer and the method of adjustment.
The reason why the transformer needs to adjust the voltage during use is that all electrical equipment is designed according to the efficiency when operating at the rated voltage. A serious deviation from the rated voltage will inevitably lead to a drop in efficiency and worsen the economy; the voltage is too high It will greatly shorten the life of incandescent lamps and other types of lighting, and will also cause harm to the insulation of the equipment; too low voltage will greatly increase the slip of the asynchronous motor with constant torque, which will cause defective products, scraps, and slippage in industrial products. As a result of the increase, the asynchronous motor current increases, which causes heat generation and even damage.
The method of transformer voltage adjustment is that the reverse voltage regulation method requires that the central point voltage be adjusted to 1.05 rated voltage UN during peak load; the rated voltage UN during low valley load; the forward voltage regulation requires that the central point voltage at peak load is not less than 1.025 rated voltage UN; No higher than 1.075 rated voltage UN at low valley load; Normal voltage regulation mode requires that the central point voltage remains basically unchanged at any load and slightly greater than the rated voltage UN.
The technology for adjusting the voltage range and position of transformers is more complicated. Therefore, power workers need to scientifically formulate daily adjustments of main transformer taps in important substations according to the typical monthly and daily load curves of the main transmission lines and main transformers. Method, establish and improve the treatment plan for serious deviation of the voltage of the power grid under its jurisdiction, and adjust it according to the actual situation.
