Test method of high voltage test transformer:

1. In general measurement, when the wire is connected, the wire connecting the test product is suspended in the air, after rising to the test voltage, read the corona and stray current I'during the air test, and then connect the test product to the test Voltage, read the total current I1. Leakage current of the sample: I0=I1- I′.

2. When it is necessary to precisely measure the leakage current of the tested product, a high-voltage shielded microammeter should be connected in series in the high-voltage circuit; the wire should be tightly wound several times and then connected with the shield of the high-voltage lead.

3. When the ground terminal of the test product such as zinc oxide arrester and magnetic blower arrester can be separated, it can also be measured by connecting an ammeter at the bottom of the test product (ground potential side), but shielded wire must also be used; To eliminate the influence of the leakage current on the surface of the test sample, a soft bare copper wire can be wound around the ground potential end of the test sample to connect with the shield.

4. After the test is completed, reduce the voltage and reset the potentiometer to zero, then press the green button to cut off the high voltage and turn off the power switch.

5. For small capacitor samples such as zinc oxide arresters, they are generally discharged through a pressure measuring resistor, and the time is very fast. For large capacitor test products such as cables and motors, it is generally necessary to wait for the voltage of the test product to self-discharge to less than 20% of the test voltage, and then discharge through the discharge rod. After the test product is fully discharged and the grounding wire is hung up, the removal of the high-voltage lead and the replacement of the wiring work are allowed.

During use, if the red light is off, the green light is on, and the DC high voltage drops, it is the relevant protection action. At this time, follow the steps below:

1. Return the potentiometer to the zero position.

2. Turn off the power switch, the panel indicators are off.

3. One minute later, after the low-voltage capacitor in standby is fully discharged, the power switch is allowed to be turned on again. Re-carry out the no-load test and find out the situation, then the boost test can be performed again.
