How to use the circuit breaker tester?
A circuit breaker is a device used to ensure the safety of electrical systems. This is a simple and easy-to-use device that can protect your electrical system from short circuits, overloads, excessive current flow and other hazards. But it is necessary to carefully draw a picture of the electrical service panel, which is also called the circuit breaker box. Otherwise, it may be difficult for you to determine which outlet is controlled by which circuit breaker or which circuit breaker controls which switch. When a short circuit or overload occurs, the circuit breaker tester will work, so the handle on the circuit breaker will trip in the off position.
The circuit breaker helps to quickly identify the location in the circuit breaker box, and then you can easily solve the problem. This will be a job done by one person, and is effortless and easy to use, and does not involve complexity
How to use the circuit breaker tester (also called the circuit breaker switching characteristic tester)?
It includes two parts in the device. It contains a transmitter and a receiver. First of all, you should plug the transmitter into a household power socket, otherwise we can say that it is an adapter socket. On the other hand, on the circuit breaker box, you will use an electronic receiver that is paired with a transmitter plugged into the socket. Whenever you use the receiver linked to the transmitter, you will pass the circuit breaker and transmit the signal from the transmitter electronically. The receiver will immediately beep and flash quickly. It's easy, this is the main process of how it works. To study the working principle of an ideal circuit breaker tester, you should check the functions of the two elements of the circuit breaker receiver and transmitter.
First, use the battery to power the receiver on the circuit breaker tester. Using the array is relatively easy, as the battery compartment can be easily accessed from the bottom by simply sliding the lid back. You should install the battery of the receiver, and then adjust the sensitivity of the receiver to large, so that the receiver can provide a large sensitivity in a bad situation. For example, there are different models of receivers, you have to rotate the receiver's wheel backwards, and then the LED light will light up. After testing the receiver and transmitter, there is no doubt that the receiver will not be able to receive the signal from the transmitter. Insert the earpiece into the power socket, and then turn on the light of the transmitter at the same time, which will indicate the strength of the earpiece. As long as the distance between the receiver and the transmitter is short, the receiver can pick up the transmitter's signal, and will immediately beep, and its LED light will light up, indicating that it can access the transmitter's signal.
The second step of the main idea of how the circuit breaker tester works is to match the circuit with its circuit breaker. This can be done by opening the circuit breaker box and holding the receiver so that the receiver directly faces the circuit breaker. Then slowly move the receiver up, down, left, and right between rows and columns at a slow speed. *Fortunately, when moving the receiver, reduce the sensitivity of the receiver so that a circuit breaker or fuse that is causing the problem buzzes between the circuit breaker rows, and at the same time, keep reducing the sensitivity of the receiver until only one circuit breaker or fuse is used. The receiver beeps. After determining the correct circuit breaker or fuse, the circuit should be closed by switching the circuit breaker to the open position. Only in this way, the buzzer of the receiver will start to stop. Then, you must check where the transmitter is plugged in until its lights are off, which indicates that no current and energy are flowing into the circuit. If this happens, it means you have done it correctly. It can assure you that you have closed the correct circuit breaker.
Below is the whole concept of how the circuit breaker tester works. First, you should determine a socket, a socket you are willing to work on the circuit. After that, you should plug in the transmitter. If the indicator light is on, it means that the circuit is live and energy is passing through. After that, the receiver should be kept near its large sensitivity level. When moving it between multiple rows of circuits, as long as the transmitter's light starts to flicker, the sensitivity should be reduced. When the receiver beeps, you should toggle the circuit breaker switch. This is how it works, and to increase safety, you can plug in the device to ensure that the power is turned off.
