Protection of DC high voltage generator
One of the characteristics of the DC high voltage generator is that it has an overvoltage protection function: when the DC high voltage generator is in the test, if you do not need to set it, you can turn the voltage setting knob clockwise to large, then the overvoltage protection exceeds the rated output The voltage is activated and the overvoltage protection indicator (yellow) is on. If it is necessary to set the overvoltage protection value, before the test, the DC high voltage generator can be turned the voltage setting knob clockwise to large without connecting the tested product, and then boost the voltage to the required voltage value according to the aforementioned operation process. When the voltage setting knob is turned counterclockwise to the overvoltage protection value and the overvoltage protection indicator (yellow) is on, the overvoltage protection value is set at this time. Then turn off the power switch of the DC high-voltage generator, use a ground rod to discharge the high-voltage to the ground, and connect the sample to test. At this time, when the test voltage exceeds the set value, the high-voltage will be automatically cut off and the overvoltage protection will act.
The DC high-voltage generator has multiple protection functions such as low-voltage over-current, low-voltage over-voltage, high-voltage over-current, high-voltage over-voltage, zero protection, and non-grounding protection, and the instrument also has Chinese alarm prompts and voice prompts.
1. Open circuit protection of the internal voltage measurement circuit: If there is no protection when the internal voltage measurement resistance is open, the voltage measurement signal line is open, or the connection of the cable is poor, then the instrument voltmeter has no indication, and there is voltage at the high voltage end, which may be Cause a personal injury accident.
2. Overcurrent protection: When the high-voltage output terminal is short-circuited, the instrument should immediately cut off the output, and the instrument should not be damaged.
3. Overvoltage protection: When the high voltage output exceeds the overvoltage setting value, the instrument should automatically cut off the output immediately, which ensures that the sample will not be damaged by overvoltage.
4. Zero protection: The potentiometer should be reset to zero to boost the voltage to prevent the high voltage terminal from being voltage and causing harm to people and instruments.
5. Grounding protection: When the instrument is not grounded or the grounding is poor, the instrument should have a grounding alarm and a corresponding prompt, and it cannot increase the voltage to prevent harm to the person and the instrument. In special circumstances, it must be performed without reliable grounding. During the test, you can press and hold the 75% function key to release the protection, which is convenient for users to test on site.
