When the transformer is running at full load, the short-circuit impedance has a certain effect on the secondary side output voltage. The short-circuit impedance is small, the voltage drop is small, the short-circuit impedance is large, and the voltage drop is large. When the transformer load is short-circuited, the short-circuit impedance is small. The short-circuit current is large, the electric power that the transformer bears is large, the short-circuit impedance is large, the short-circuit current is small, and the electric power that the transformer bears is small.


Transformer short-circuit impedance is also called impedance voltage. It is defined in the transformer industry as follows: When the secondary winding of the transformer is short-circuited (steady state), the voltage applied by the primary winding through the rated current is called impedance voltage Uz. Uz is usually expressed as a percentage of the rated voltage. That is, uz=(Uz/U1n)*100%,


If the voltage ratio (transformation ratio) is not the same, the parallel operation of the two transformers will produce circulating current, which will affect the output of the transformer. If the percent impedance is not equal, the load carried by the transformer cannot be distributed proportionally to the capacity of the transformer.
