Measurement of inverter insulation resistance
1. Requirements before measurement
To test the insulation resistor of the inverter, you must first remove the connection between the inverter and the power supply, and between the inverter and the motor.
After connecting all the wires of the main circuit, and then reliably shorting all the main circuit input and output pins with wires, the insulation resistance value of the ground is measured.
2. Inverter measurement
① When measuring the insulation resistance value of the inverter, a qualified 500 V insulation resistance meter should be used. It is absolutely not allowed to connect a certain main circuit terminal to the ground to measure the insulation resistance value, otherwise it may cause damage to the inverter. It is also not possible to perform insulation measurement on the control terminal of the inverter, otherwise the inverter may be damaged.
②After the insulation resistance value measurement is over, remember to remove all the above-mentioned connecting wires that short-circuit the terminals of the main circuit.
3. Motor measurement
If the insulation resistance value of the motor needs to be measured, the insulation resistance value of the motor must be measured separately after disconnecting all the connecting wires between the motor and the inverter to prevent the inverter from being damaged.
4. Inverter control circuit continuity check
When checking the continuity of the control circuit of the inverter, use a multimeter with high internal resistance, but cannot use an insulation resistance meter or buzzer for measurement, otherwise the inverter may be damaged.
