Double clamp phase voltammeter measurement
Using a digital double clamp phase voltammeter to measure resistance requires a few simple steps:
1. Select the item to be measured: This can be any item that needs to measure resistance and estimate resistance.
2. Insert the probe into the required socket. Usually, the digital double clamp phase voltammeter will provide multiple sockets for the test probe. Insert these or check if they are in the correct socket. Generally, they may be marked as COM for public, while others are marked as visible ohms, which are usually used in conjunction with voltage measurement sockets.
3. To select the required range, you need to open the digital double clamp phase voltammeter and select the required range. The selected range should ensure that the reading can be obtained. Usually, the digital dual clamp phase voltammeter function switch will be marked with the maximum resistance reading. Choose a resistance whose estimated resistance value will be lower than but close to the maximum value of the range, so that accurate resistance measurements can be made.
4. Zero the meter: the meter needs to be zeroed. Create a short circuit by placing the two probes firmly together. Then adjust the zero control to provide a zero ohm (full scale deflection) reading to accomplish this. If you change the scope, you need to repeat this process.
5. Make the measurement when the digital double clamp phase voltammeter is ready for measurement. The probe can be applied to the items to be measured. If necessary, the range can be adjusted.
6. After turning off the digital double clamp phase voltammeter for resistance measurement, it is wise to turn the function switch to the high voltage range, so that if the digital double clamp phase voltammeter is used for another type of reading again. Then if the digital double clamp phase voltammeter is used inadvertently without selecting the correct range and function, it will not cause any damage.
Digital dual-clamp phase voltammeters are ideal test equipment for measuring resistance. They are relatively inexpensive and provide quite good accuracy and general performance. Generally, they provide a level of accuracy sufficient to meet the needs of most jobs.
