DC resistance tester to measure and discharge
The DC resistance tester is a relatively common high-voltage electrical test equipment. It is mainly used to measure the DC resistance of power transformers. It is also widely used in the power industry. However, many people still do not understand its use and transmission method, especially DC How does the resistance tester measure and discharge? Let’s briefly introduce how the DC resistance tester measures and discharges.
measuring
After connecting the test wire, turn on the power switch, the power indicator light is on, press the "Start/Stop" button, and the meter displays "E0000". Select the resistance range according to the size of the measured value, press the switch, and the indicator of the range will be on. The stable value displayed on the four and a half digits LCD is the measured resistance value. Please pay attention to the selected range when reading the value. The unit of the above (mΩ/Ω/kΩ). When measuring large inductance samples such as power transformers, it is best to short-circuit the coils that do not need to be measured outside the test circuit to avoid electromagnetic interference.
Discharge
After the test is completed, the main power supply can be turned off directly. If it is an inductive test product, the wire should not be disconnected immediately after the power is turned off, and the instrument should have a continuous discharge process. Generally discharge at least 20 seconds, otherwise the back electromotive force of the inductance will endanger personal safety.
