DC high voltage generator operation
The DC high-voltage generator is an instrument that provides a high-voltage DC source. Before using the instrument, the instrument must be grounded reliably. The staff using the DC high-voltage generator must be a professional with a "high-voltage test certificate" to use the DC high-voltage generator. The user must follow the provisions of the "Electrical Safety Work Regulations" and install two obvious disconnection points before the working power supply enters the tester. When replacing the test product and wiring, the two power supply disconnection points should be obviously disconnected At the same time, there must be at least three staff on site to ensure the safety of users.
The indicators, switches, meter heads, knobs, etc. on the main unit have been clearly marked. Please refer to the functional description of the main unit panel when reading the operating instructions.
The four-core aviation socket on the side of the doubler cylinder base is a special socket for connecting to the host, and the ground terminal on the side is for connecting the ground wire.
The attached high-voltage shielded ammeter is a digital micro-ammeter. The jack on the top of the meter is the line jack to connect to the test product. It is also used as a power control switch. Please unplug the plug when not in use. After the screw is removed, remove the back cover, and after replacing the battery, tighten the back cover with the screw.
Preparation before use of DC high voltage generator:
The first step: check the integrity of the instrument before use. There should be no disconnection and short circuit in each connection line, and the device is not broken.
Step 2: Place the host and voltage doubler in proper positions, and connect the power cord, special four-core connecting wire and grounding wire respectively. The grounding wire of the host, the voltage doubler and the grounding wire of the discharge rod should be connected separately The ground wire of the test article (that is, one point is grounded). It is strictly forbidden to connect each ground wire in series with each other, and the dedicated ground wire provided with the instrument should be used.
Step 3: Put the power switch in the off position and turn the voltage adjustment potentiometer counterclockwise to the zero position. The over-voltage protection setting value is generally 1.1 times the test voltage.
Step 4: Before turning on the power switch on the panel of the control box, make sure that the DC high-voltage generator is connected to 220V AC power. Carefully check whether the wiring is correct, and also check whether the grounding wire of the high-voltage discharge rod is reliable.
No-load boost test and verify the setting value of voltage protection:
Step 1: Connect the single-phase AC220V power supply and turn on the power switch. At this time, the red light is on, indicating that the power is on.
Step 2: Press the green button, the green light is on, indicating that the high voltage is connected.
Step 3: Adjust the voltage adjustment potentiometer in a clockwise direction, and the output will start to increase from zero. The value displayed on the host voltmeter is the value of the increased voltage. After slowly increasing the voltage to near the overvoltage protection setting value, record the voltage Table reading, and verify that the recorded value is 1.1 times the voltage setting value, and check the host and high-voltage output line for abnormal phenomena and sound.
Step 4: Reduce the voltage, after returning the voltage regulator to zero, press the red button to cut off the high voltage output and turn off the power switch.
