1. The integrity of the tester should be checked before use. The connection cable should be free from open circuit, short circuit, equipment damage and other damage.
2. Put the dc high-voltage generator chassis and double pressure pipe in an appropriate position and connect the power line, cable and ground wire respectively. The ground wire of the protection ground wire and the working ground wire and the discharge pole shall be connected to the ground wire of the test sample respectively (i.e. the ground wire at a certain point). Do not connect all ground wires in series. Therefore, DHV grounding wire is generally used.
3. The power switch of dc high-voltage generator should be postponed, and check whether the voltage regulator is in the zero position. The setting value of overvoltage protection is generally 1.1 times of the test voltage.
4. No load boost to verify the sensitivity of overvoltage protection setting.
5. Press the power switch and the red light will go on, which means the power will be on.
6. Press the green button on the DC high-voltage generator, and then press the green light to indicate the high-voltage connection.
7. Adjust the potentiometer clockwise and smoothly. When the output voltage rises from zero to the required voltage, record ammeter readings at the specified time and check the control box and the high-voltage output line for anomalies and sounds.
8. After reducing the voltage, set the voltage regulator to zero and immediately press the red button to cut off the high voltage and turn off the power switch.
9. The leakage and DC voltage resistance tests were carried out on the samples. The leakage test and DC withstand test can be carried out only after the test machine is confirmed to be normal. Connect test sample, ground wire, etc., turn on the power after inspection.
10. Do not exceed the required voltage or current. The appropriate boost rate is 3-5 kv test voltage per second. In the large-capacity test, the charging current of the ammeter should be monitored, and the current should not exceed the maximum charging current of the tester. For small volume samples, such as zinc oxide lightning arrester, magnetic arrester, etc., the required voltage (current) is first increased to 95% of the required voltage (current), and then the required voltage (current) is slowly and carefully reached. The voltage (current) value is then read from the digital display. If the zinc oxide arrester needs to measure 0 and 75 UDC-1mA, the voltage will first rise to the UDC1mA voltage value, then press the yellow button, then the voltage will drop to the original 75g and remain in this state. To read the current. After the test, the potentiometer returns to zero counterclockwise and immediately presses the green button. Press the green button when you need to supercharge again.
