What is ground resistance?
There are three elements that make up the ground resistance:
1. Resistance of ground wire and ground electrode
2. Contact resistance between grounding electrode and ground
3. Grounding resistance, or better, is a grounding characteristic.
Analyze the three elements, the values of the elements
1. Elements are usually small and negligible.
2. Depending on the material, shape and installation depth of the electrode.
3. The element value has the greatest influence on the earth resistance value.
Soil resistivity is influenced by soil composition, temperature, and water content.
In general, it is recommended to insert grounding electrodes as deep as possible, preferably in moist soil, to minimize ground resistance. In addition, regardless of the season, the electrode should be installed in a stable temperature, namely below the frost line.
