Pulse Width Test of Relay Protection Tester

During the general work of electric engineer, three-phase relay protection tester is often used to test the performance of electric transformer, relay and generator. Pulse width test is a traditional test method in the test of three-phase relay protection tester, which is generally used . At the same time, the pulse width test is divided into voltage regulation pulse width and frequency modulation pulse width. How we do the two different test?


Voltage regulation pulse width:

Before doing the test, the tested voltage to be combined does not meet the one cycle conditions (lower or higher than the voltage of the system side). If the frequency meets the conditions but is not equal, the angular energy of both sides can be opened and closed periodically. The lifting signal and the inhibiting signal of the synchronizer are respectively connected to the tester A and a. During the test, because the voltage does not meet the conditions of the same period, the device does not send the switch on/off signal, but sends the "up (down)" signal periodically. At this time, the tester will be able to measure the voltage regulation pulse width and the voltage regulation period under this pressure difference. Generally, the voltage regulation pulse width and the pressure difference have a linear relationship


Frequency modulation pulse width:

Before doing the test, the voltage of both sides is set to meet the conditions of the same cycle, but the frequency does not meet the conditions of the same cycle (lower or higher than the frequency of the side to be combined). Connect the upper and lower frequency signals of the synchronizing device to the tester and switch to B and B respectively. In the test, because the frequency does not meet the conditions of the same cycle, the equipment does not send the shutdown signal, but periodically sends the "uplink (downlink) frequency" signal. At this time, the tester will be able to measure the frequency modulation pulse width and frequency modulation cycle under this frequency difference. Generally, there is a linear relationship between frequency difference and FM pulse width.


The three-phase relay protection tester’s voltage regulation pulse width test and frequency modulation pulse width test are relatively conventional high-voltage power experiments.
